Psychological assistance here promotes the healthy emotional development of the child / young person by understanding their emotional needs and difficulties.

We seek to develop the competencies and strategies necessary for the child/youth to learn to deal with everyday situations and conflicts in a safe and reliable space where they can freely express their difficulties, fears, and emotions.

Through games, arts, tales, stories, and the playful world, we establish a conducive and safe environment for the child where, through activities and play, the therapeutic session is conducted so that the child feels free to talk about their day. day-to-day life, their routine and aspects of their life and themselves as an individual, it is from this work that we can rescue, through speech and the playful aspects involved, the complaints and anxieties present in the children's universe.

Services for Children aged 4-12.
Children aged 0-3 (We need to evaluate the case and, in most cases, this is work carried out through Parental Consultancy or Parental Assistance).

What is Ludo-therapy?
The Ludo therapy (Play-therapy) is the Psychotherapy adapted for the infantile treatment, through which the child, "playing", projects its way of being.

The purpose of this mode of analysis is to help the child through play, stories, drawings, and arts to express their conflicts and difficulties with greater ease, helping them reach their solution so that they can better integrate and adapt themselves to the external world. The therapist observes and interprets the child’s projections to understand what is happening and then act as an aid to the therapy process.

How Child Psychotherapy Works:

Firstly, when working with children, the first contact and session is with the parents or guardians (at least 1 person) before the sessions with the child.

This first session is what we call the ‘Parental screening session’ where we collect all the data from the child and family and talk about why they are looking for psychological assistance for the child and talk well about what happens with them and in the family environment.

From this screening we receive the child and begin child or family psychotherapy depending on the case.

Children's sessions are adaptable and we can always talk and put together a therapeutic plan for the family's needs and possibilities if they live far away or other conditions due to the scope of the case.

We are open to putting together a flexible therapeutic plan with parents.

In child psychotherapy, we work in cycles, where after a few sessions with the child (we identify the quantity depending on session performance and the case) and we have 1 parental feedback session with parents (or at least 1 guardian) where we go over in what we are working on and what is happening and we align the therapeutic plan!

💻 Online Child Psychotherapy:

They are available on a short-term basis only for children over 5 years old who are comfortable with using a screen, and sessions time is adapted according to the child's interaction and adaptation conditions with screens and the possibility of the case, together with the capacity and possibility of child.

Online cases need to be evaluated a priori in the parenting session for us to accept online sessions.

❗️We cannot work online with cases in which the child has serious psychological impairments, is at risk of life or engages in self-mutilation (due to professional ethics, these are more serious cases and require face-to-face assistance)

💻 Directions for online sessions:

*The child for online psychotherapy needs a private place for the sessions, and some work materials that we will list for parents (pencil, paper, markers or coloured pencil, blunt scissors, folder to store the activities and materials etc.).

Parents and professionals will chat via WhatsApp or emails as necessary, as parents need to give updates, update situations and send material created in the sessions by the child.

📍 Frequency of child psychotherapy sessions are determined after the first parental session and first session with the child, where we evaluate the case and possibilities together with parents/guardians individually.

After those sessions the parents will receive a Psychotherapeutic plan to approve.

Session duration: 50 min (but we can adapt depending on the case and children needs)

Adolescent Psychotherapy:

Adolescence is a phase full of discoveries, new learning and many conflicts. Teenagers tend to live in a different world that often collides with their parents.

Adolescence is defined as the period of life from 13 to 18 years old and marks the transition between childhood and adulthood. It is a period of self-affirmation and acceptance of the radical changes that occur in the organism/body and in feelings.

It is a period marked by turbulence due to emotional, biological and psychosocial pressures during the development phase. Adolescence requires the psychic elaboration of childhood losses and the construction of a new identity that asserts itself in social contact with peers and with the expansion of independence in the world.

Psychotherapy for adolescents is based on the principle that the patient is inserted in a world to which he or she now belongs and wants to have his or her space, and then seeks to understand the relationships that were established throughout his or her life until reaching the stage of adolescence.

The therapist-adolescent relationship begins to be established from the first session, when the way of working and what psychotherapy is clarified and, mainly, the patient is assured of the issue of absolute confidentiality regarding what is discussed during the sessions.
From the moment the teenager feels safe and starts to trust the therapist, the psychotherapeutic process starts to happen fluidly.

The task of therapy is to facilitate the adolescent's healthy maturation and help him or her develop an independent self.
The participation of parents/guardians is of great importance for the improvement and/or changes of the adolescent, including the necessary parental feedback meetings with the therapist, where the aim is to guide them in relation to the patient and re-elaborate the therapeutic plan with changes and progress.

📍 Frequency of adolescent psychotherapy sessions are determined after the first parental session where we evaluate the case and possibilities together with parents/guardians individually. Session duration: 50 min.
