Psychological Pre-Natal Care
Psychological Pre-Natal Care (PPNC) consists of a new concept of gestational care, psychoprophylactic, which covers care both during the prenatal period and during the birth and postpartum period, with the objective of greater humanization of these processes and assistance in the process of construction of motherhood, fatherhood, and parenthood.
The PPNC works in promoting and preventing the emotional health of babies and primary caregivers (parents), through its action as a facilitator of the formation of a healthy and possible bond between parents and babies.
Our aim is to bring Information, Assistance, Caring and Strengthening in preparation for Motherhood, Fatherhood and Parenting.
The PPNC is configured as a space capable of providing informative and psychotherapeutic assistance as early as possible regarding the transformations that will take place during this pregnancy-puerperal period and possible psychological crises, in order to propose a healthy pregnancy, as well as the pleasant arrival of the baby that is to come and your care.
Pregnancy is an extremely significant and special moment in a couple's life cycle. It is a period permeated by countless sensations, fears and expectations.
During pregnancy, a woman's body transforms, undergoing metabolic and hormonal changes that influence her behaviour and emotions; Therefore, psychological support is important, not only for the woman, but as support for the entire family.
Some questions are common in the family system during pregnancy: did the couple want and plan this pregnancy? Are we going to take care of the care that a newborn requires? How is the baby's health? What will the birth be like? What financial adjustments will be needed? Will my body return after pregnancy? Will the relationship be shaken? And will I realize it? among others. So, I want to talk to you about some important points for your journey.
When we talk about pregnancy and the puerperium (postpartum phase), we talk about ‘not knowing’, doubts, joys, fears and countless other possibilities of this intense and turbulent period. It is a time to take care of the emotional aspect, to cultivate support, to seek loving and qualified listening to the anguish of this woman and family in transformation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum are periods of intense transformation for a woman, a couple, a family. For women, in particular, in a more pronounced way, as her body is the basis for the development and nutrition of a baby. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
